Best Tennis Racket for Intermediate Players?
Hi everyone! 🎾
I've been playing tennis for about 2 years and I think it's time to upgrade from my beginner racket. I'm getting more consistent with my shots and want a racket that can grow with my game.
## My Current Situation
I've read tons of reviews online but would love to hear from real players about their experiences. What racket helped take your game to the next level?
Thanks for any advice! 🙏
I've been playing tennis for about 2 years and I think it's time to upgrade from my beginner racket. I'm getting more consistent with my shots and want a racket that can grow with my game.
## My Current Situation
- NTRP level: 3.5-4.0
- Play 3-4 times per week
- Aggressive baseline player
- Currently using a Wilson Clash 100
- Budget: $150-250
- More control on groundstrokes
- Good power potential
- Not too heavy (current racket is 295g)
- Comfortable on the arm
- Heard it's great for control
- Used by Djokovic (though different spec)
- Good spin potential
- Popular choice
- Good power
- Might be too powerful?
- Classic feel
- Great control
- Might be too demanding?
- Comfortable
- Good all-around performance
- Less common, harder to demo?
- Should I prioritize control or power at my level?
- How important is string pattern (16x19 vs 18x20)?
- Weight considerations - should I go heavier?
- Where to demo rackets in my area?
- Any other rackets I should consider?
- Strong forehand (my weapon)
- Decent backhand, working on consistency
- Aggressive return of serve
- Coming to net more often
- Serve needs work (consistency issues)

I upgraded to the Head Speed MP last year and love it! Great control and spin potential. Definitely demo it first though - every player is different. The 16x19 string pattern gives nice spin.

Consider the Yonex EZONE 100 too! Very comfortable and forgiving. I switched from Pure Drive and love the feel. String it with a multifilament for extra comfort.
